Slow Cooker Ham and vegetable soup

Since now I live on an urban farm in Fort Worth, Texas I'm trying to lose weight and eat healthy by making everything from scratch. Having a slow cooker in the house really makes things easy when our family is either busy working a scene or remodeling the farm.

A couple of nights ago I made this dinner recipe for the paramedics in our house. Yes I will always be low man on the totem pole when it comes to medic rank. One of the men is a 4 year veteran, the other is a 2 year veteran. To think if I would have started out of High School I'd have 25 years under my belt. I wouldn't be the one cooking.

Slow Cooker ham and vegetable soup
2 oz of ham for each person that is eating
3 cans of kidney beans drained
16 ounce bag of frozen mixed vegetables
2 Tbsp of ground pepper

Add all of the ingredients into the slow cooker. Set the slow cooker to the setting that is for soup/stew. I personally like to take the pork out and shred it before I serve it to my family. I hope that you will try and like this slow cooker recipe. I'll be adding more later.
