Starbucks Coffee Midnight Mint, Rainbow Unicorns, and S'more Oh My!

Instead of doing separate Starbuck Coffee reviews on each individual Starbucks Frappuccino, I thought I would try to fit all of these cool coffee blends into three foodie posts. Our family is a household of major coffee drinkers. So we know a thing or two about the flavors of Starbucks Coffee blends.

The latest Starbucks Frappuccinos on the market are the S'mores and Midnight Mint Mocha blended beverages. I hate to say it but I've been doing Midnight Mint before it became a thing at Starbucks. Who doesn't want a frozen mint Girl Scout
cookie to drink on a hot Summer day.

The coffee blend of Starbucks Midnight Mint Mocha is great. The idea of adding more chocolate is nothing new. Adding a layer of whipped cream is a brilliant idea from Starbucks. Drinking the Midnight Mint Mocha is almost like drinking a chocolate parfait with a straw.

What do you think of when the word S'mores comes to mind. I know our family thinks of cinnamon graham crackers, sweet hershey chocolate and slightly charred marshmallows over a camp fire. Was Starbucks coffee able to capture that Summer time coffee blend?

The S'mores Frappuccino is a great coffee blend but it taste nothing like the Summer time S'more that we grew up with. What was wrong with this Starbucks blended drink? There was no graham cracker taste. If Starbuck coffee would have sprinkles Cinnamon sugar on top of the whipped cream that may have worked.

How about the latest crazy of Starbucks cold blended drinks. The every changing Unicorn pictured above. This blended beverage is nothing more than the Pokemon GO Frappuccino in new wrapping. This blended drink definitely packs the pucker punch. I'll let you vision this scene with a customer.

A customer is dazzled by Starbucks coffee advertising and it's a hot day in Texas. All the pretty colors and sprinkles make them feel like a kid again. The coffee blend drinker tries a tall because they are unsure about the flavor. Every sip is going great until they get to the sprinkles on top of the whip cream Oh those beautiful colorful sprinkles. The sourness makes the Starbucks customer nearly drip the blended drink.

Midnight Mint is a wonderful blended beverage. The S'mores leaves me wanting the real thing because of lack of flavor. The Starbucks Rainbow Unicorn Frappuccino blended beverage...well...I want my $5 back.
